Module I – Introduction to a Successful Job Search
This course is designed to provide immediate information applicable to job search methods. Addressing self-assessment, identification of personal qualifications and education requirements, this course provides an overview of various job information sources. Included is a personal assessment of your personality traits.
Module II – Writing a Competitive, Impressive, and Effective Resume
This course is designed to assist the participants in identifying and choosing the right resume style for specific types of jobs. Included in this course are opportunities to present your specific knowledge, skills and abilities. Additionally, you will learn to match your qualifications to various jobs.
Module III – Preparing a Career/Job Winning Interview
This course is designed to assist the participant in preparing for a successful interview. Participants will learn the most frequently asked interview questions and how best to answer them, know personal strengths and weaknesses and be able to speak logically about them. Participants will also learn to identify important facts about the company such as their mission, how to dress, opening and closing the interview, and what to do after the interview is complete. Added to this course are practice interviews which address those difficult and even illegal questions many interviewer ask.
Module IV – Dress For Success on a Dime
Proper interview attire does not have to be expensive. This course is designed to teach participants how to let you attire speak even before you do, and provides important facts on what to wear and how to wear it. Wearing the right attire increases your confidence, decreases your nervousness, and allows the employer to concentrate on you rather than what you are wearing.
Module V – Active/Retired Military Members and Spouses
This course is designed to assist active and retired military members prepare for the job search in private industry as well as the Federal government civilian sector. Additionally, this course provides resources to the military spouse.
